Constructed in 1991 and until 2003 worked as open Velodrome . In 2004 it was renovated by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava and placed roof . It is the only Indoor Velodrome country .<\/p>\n<p><strong>History<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Olympic Velodrome conducted :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Olympics Cycling in August 2004 ,<\/li>\n<li>Paralympic Games in September 2004 ,<\/li>\n<li>World Cup track men &#8211; women in 1995 , 1996 , 1997 ,<\/li>\n<li>the World Junior Championship &#8211; nenanidon 1992 and 1999 ,<\/li>\n<li>Mediterranean Games 1991<\/li>\n<li>the Balkan struggles between men and adolescents in 2000 ,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>also conducted the National Track Championships and Cup every year .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Olympic Velodrome is a permanent sports facility and which lays in the southwestern part of the Athens basin . The distance from the center of Athens 18.1 km and 22.7 km from the port of Piraeus .<br \/>\nThe main entrance is in Spyrou Loui fenced and has 250 parking spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The venue of the Olympic velodrome has been covering 4,000 m2 , 7,000 m2 building , surface \/ installing 53,400 m2 and percentage of total area of the OAKA 6.20% .
